The maps below offer winter/evening alternatives for the Wye Valley Greenway when Tidenham Tunnel is closed. Please note these involve over 150m of ascent in either direction, quiet lanes/forestry tracks and a short stretch along the moderately busy B4228. The cycling alternative is not recommended for road bikes. The walking alternative can be muddy when wet and includes walking a grass verge beside the B4228.
