Each image is accompanied by an accreditation except those that are part of the menu of contents. All images that are part of the menu of contents are repeated elsewhere on the site with their accreditation.

Mr Iain Langston Yockney, a descendent of Samuel Hansard
Yockney has been very helpful in making available relevant
extracts from the family records and in providing background information.

Annette Ruehlmann, Librarian at the Institution of Civil Engineers, has gone to considerable lengths in identifying key documents that have been incorporated into this history.

Mr Brian Handley, author of The Wye Valley Railway, provided negatives of the railway, many of which had not been published before.

The Clevedon Camera Club converted the negatives supplied by Brian Handley into jpg form and loaded them onto a memory stick.

Mr Graeme Bickerdike, Forgotten Relics, provided expert information about the Tidenham Tunnel.

Mr Neil Parkhouse, Black Dwarf Lightmoor Publications Ltd, supplied not only a number of colour photographs of the line but also provided contacts to obtain further images.

Mr Adam Williams, Dean Forest Railway, advised on the derailment that took place near to the main line.

Mr Laurence Waters, Honorary Photographs Archivist, Great Western Trust, identified from the Trust’s collection photographs related to the Wye Valley Railway.

Dick Finch, Martin Scott, Jan Bryant and Kev Daniels, all Wye Valley Greenway volunteers, put together and edited this history.
